Test Guidance Training
BRIAN
M STRATTON is a very experienced Grade 6 DSA
Approved Car Driving Instructor and Principal of
a DSA recommended Training Establishment. He
gained considerable experience teaching learner
drivers in a busy and varied environment and now
trains others to teach to a very high standard.
As
an ADI, he has first hand experience of check
tests and a deep understanding of the Supervising
Examiner's requirements. He has also discussed
the check test with DSA staff to ascertain
precisely what they are looking for, and which
aspects cause difficulty for ADIs.
As
a trainer he has helped many ADIs to achieve a
higher grading and to get more out of their
teaching.
Guidance
will take place in the ADI's own car with Brian M
Stratton.
Demonstrations
of briefings and any teaching methods will be
given so that ADIs can see the standard that is
required.
Each
period of guidance begins with a recap of the
previous session and then a discussion of the
objectives and the lesson plan.
During
training, every assistance and encouragement will
be given and the ADI's progress will be closely
monitored and discussed as necessary.
Strengths
and weaknesses will be analysed and appropriate
advice given.
At
the end of each training session there will be a
debrief and a discussion as to whether the
objectives have been achieved. The content of the
next session will be discussed and appropriate
reading material advised.
Above
all, Brian M Stratton is personally committed to
each client to ensure that they achieve their
maximum potential.
All
Check Test Guidance is Totally Confidential.
The
Training
Check
test guidance will take place in the ADI's car at
the Training Establishment using role-play.
Option
1: Assessment
This
two hour period will start with an assessment of
the ADI's tuition, followed by a discussion and
then work on any shortcomings. At the end of the
session advice will be given and possible further
guidance session(s) arranged. Ideal as a starting
point following a sub-standard check test, or as
a final validation session before a re-test.
Option
2: Half-Day Course
A
half-day course comprising three hours one-to-one
tuition. Ideal for addressing specific aspects of
tuition that may be causing difficulties. This is
a very useful follow-on session from an initial
assessment of the ADI.
Option
3: One-Day Course
A
one-day course comprising five hours one-to-one
tuition. This is usually split into 2 hours in
the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. This
course is ideal for ADIs who want to prepare for
a forthcoming check test, and feel they would
benefit from having accurate advice and guidance
on all aspects of tuition. Please note the minimum
