6 Steps to a Higher Check Test Grading
ADIs are periodically required to undergo check tests. These are generally
viewed with suspicion and many stories have evolved around them.
This book deals with all aspects of the check test and helps you to prepare for it
in six easy-to-follow steps.
It is within every ADI's capabilities to achieve at least a grade 5. And
with a lot of effort a grade 6 can be attained.
The guidelines given in this book should be used for every lesson, not just
on your check test.
Each one of your pupils deserves 100% commitment and 100% effort
from you on every lesson. Not to do so would be cheating them.
ADIs often comment that they've got a good pass rate with their 'L' test
pupils. That's all good and well but if you think about it, any qualified
driver (let alone an ADI) would be able to achieve the same if they were
doing it on a regular basis.
What you, as an ADI, owe to your pupils is a determination to ensure that
you give them a set of guidelines they can use, and you have passed on
your experience and knowledge in a clear and usable way.
This book will tell you how to plan your lessons and gives advice on the
choice of various subjects for the check test.
